Body Polish

Body Polish

A body polish is a popular body treatment that exfoliates and hydrates your skin, leaving it smooth and soft. A body polish can be done with any number of materials - salt, sugar, coffee grounds, rice bran, pecan hulls - usually mixed with some kind of massage oil and aromatic like essential oils. If the polish uses salt, it might be called a salt scrub, salt glow or sea salt scrub.

A body polish usually takes place in a wet room, which has a tile floor and a drain. The procedure normally involves a person laying flat and having another person polish the back side of her body. Afterward, the same is done to the front side. Upon completion of the body polish, almost the entire body should have been polished. The face and genital areas are likely to be excluded from this treatment.

Once the polishing is done, the person generally rinses herself. This should not be confused with washing. Rinsing is solely to rid the body of the abrasive particles. A person should try to retain the oils or moisturizing agents contained in the polishing product. After the person has rinsed, she is usually rubbed down with more oil, cream, or lotion.

Their purpose of body polish is to gently and effectively exfoliate the skin, to lift dead skin cells and brighten tired and dull skin tones and to reveal a radiant glow. The natural oils and butters soften and moisturize for long-lasting beautiful skin.
